Here is a list of organizations in this region which hold author events.

Writing Clubs

Between the two state writing clubs, RWA, and Sisters in Crime, you would not beleive how many local writing clubs there are.

Libraries

Many libraries in our area hosted events for authors before COVID. As things return to normal, they will again.

NOVA Writing Events was originally launched in 2019 as an event calendar which covered all author events in Virginia and Maryland. Then COVID-19 happened, and the calendar went on hiatus. It was revived in 2025 to fill a need not met.

The earlier iteration of the calendar was an actual calendar, but the new one is more of a list in the style of The Southern Fan Resource Guide.
